June of 2009 a tornado passed through the property. It didn't touch the house, but it demolished a small hip roof barn, a metal shop building, a small metal horse barn, and tiny pony barn, and downed some trees. Tornados can touch down anywhere, but we actually don't see many South of Highway 60. The Shop was rebuilt, and the some of the remains of the old oak hip roof barn is setting in a pile, but the property does need to be gone over to pick up the remainder of any debris, and put some fence back up.
